With the launch of my debut novel When Oceans Rise in May, I was incredibly busy doing events in June and missed a blog post. But we’re back, and with news!
Tomorrow starts the launch of my audiobook kickstarter!!! I’m so excited about this project because I’ve found an award-winning narrator who will bring authentic rep to my Filipino American ya novel.
The narrator is Jennifer Aquino!
Jennifer Aquino is an actor and award-winning narrator based in Los Angeles, who works professionally in film, television, commercials, theatre, and voiceover projects. FUN FACT! She’s one of the doctors who killed McDreamy on the ABC medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy.” Jennifer has narrated titles for Penguin, Random House, Hachette, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Audible Studios, Blackstone, Brilliance, Podium, Recorded Books, Tantor, Dreamscape Media, and Spotify / OrangeSky Audio. She has won multiple Earphones Awards and was recently an Audie Awards Finalist.
I need your help, especially in the first few days of the project! From what I’ve read, the more people I have donating at the start of the project, the better this project will do. I don’t know if this is because of the way the algorithm works on Kickstarter, or because the Kickstarter company notices how projects are doing on the first few days of launch, but it seems to be the general concensus.
Donating anything will help! And what’s so fun about the project is that if you choose to donate through a tier, you get stuff! For example, if you choose my audiobook tier for $15, I’ll also give you digital art and my ebook!
